The mother of all cricket games that are ICC T20 World Cup is about to be played this year.  ICC announced last year that ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020 which was scheduled to be held in 2020 was postponed to 2021.  

The prevailing COVID-19 conditions in and around the globe forced ICC to take this decision. India was selected as the country to host the mega event.

UAE and Oman are the official hosts of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021. Matches From Oct 17th to Nov 14th In UAE and Oman. The first round of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021, comprising the eight qualifying teams, will be split between UAE. & Oman. The rest of the tournament will be held in UAE.

Arch-rivals India & Pakistan will face each other on October 24 in Dubai

ICC also announced the 8th edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, which will be held in Australia in 2022.

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 SCHEDULE

ICC had postponed the T20 world cup 2020 due to COVID-19 conditions. However, they have persisted with the same format for the tournament. The tournament will start on 17th October and will witness the finale on the 14th of November. Total match – 45

According to IANS, DRS is to be used first time in T20 WC 2021.

The total prize money of T20 WC 2021 is – $5.6 million.

Winners will get – $1.6 million

Runners- up – %800,000

Semifinalist – $400,000 each

The winner of each super 12 & round 1 match will get $40,000

Knocked out in round 1 will get – $40,000 each

Knocked out in the super 12s will get – $70,000 each
