ICC men’s T20 world cup 2022 is hosted by Australia from 16th October to 13 November. This will be the 8th edition of the ICC men’s cricket t20 world cup. The 7th edition of the T20 World Cup 2021 was held in UAE & Oman from 17 Oct- 14 Nov. The Covid situation last year forced ICC to postpone the 7th edition to next year.

ICC MEN’S T20 WORLD CUP 2022, Teams & SCHEDULE
The ICC Men’s T20 cricket world cup 2022 is scheduled to be held from 16 October- 13 November 2022. India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, South Africa, Bangladesh New Zealand, England & hosts Australia, will be the participants. These 8 teams have gone straight to super 12s. While Sri Lanka, Ireland, Netherlands & Zimbabwe have secured their birth because they qualify for super 12s.
ICC announced the fixtures of the T20 WC 2022 on Jan 2022, while the sale of tickets starts on Feb 7.
Group 1 – Eng, New Zealand, Australia, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka (Group A Winner) & Ireland (Group B Runner Up)
Group 2 – India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, South Africa, Netherlands (Group A Runner Up) & Zimbabwe (Group B Winner)
Group A- UAE, Netherlands, Namibia, Sri Lanka
Group B- West Indies, Ireland, Scotland, Zimbabwe
New Zealand and England from group 1 while India and Pak from group 2 qualified for the T20 WC 2022.

ICC MEN’S T20 WORLD CUP 2022 VENUE
ICC has shortlisted 7 cities in Australia which will host the marquee ICC men’s T20 Cricket world cup next year. All these cities would be expected to stage the matches. However, it depends on the Covid situation prevailing at that time. The cities are:
On 16th November 2021 ICC announced 7 cities in Australia that will host 45 matches of the T20 World cup 2022. These 7 cities are
Melbourne, Sydney, Geelong, Hobart, Brisbane, Adelaide & Perth.
Per the ICC media release, 7 venues that will host the T20 World cup 2022 matches are, MCG, Sydney Cricket Ground, Kardinia Park Stadium, The Gabba, Adelaide Oval, Bellerive Oval & Perth Stadium.
The semifinal will be hosted at SCG ( Sydney cricket ground) & Adelaide Oval on 9 and 10th November 20222 while Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) to host the final of the T20 World cup 2022 on November 13, 2022.
Note- These schedules are subject to the prevailing Covid conditions at that point in time.
