Whether it is a battlefield or a playground, the rivalry between India and Pakistan is well-known. After independence, the two teams met for the first time in 1952, when the Pakistan cricket team toured India. After this, the tension between the two countries increased so much that there was no match between the two teams till 1977.
Regarding Tests and One Day, Pakistan has the upper hand, while in the new format of cricket T20, India has defeated Pakistan 9 out of 12 times. In the limited-overs World Cup, Pakistan has not won against Team India. Both teams will face each other again in T20 World Cup 2024 on June 9th in New York.
