BEN STOKES

Ben Stokes needs no introduction as far as cricket is concerned. Over the last few years, he has been the star performer with the bat and ball at the international level. Stokes was heavily criticized for his unforgettable last over against West Indies in the final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2016. But, that seems a distant past.

Ben Stokes has completely transformed himself into a reliable player, who can change the course of the game in just a few balls. His heroics in the final of the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2022 has only increased his brand image. Ben was brought by Rising Pune Supergiant in 2017 for a whopping 14.5 crores. In the next year, Rajasthan Royals took him for 12.5 crores.

He did not participate in IPL 2022 due to personal issues. But, will most likely be available for participation in the IPL 2023 mini-auction. In 43 matches, Ben Stokes has scored 920 runs at an average of 25.56 and a strike rate of 134.5. He has also scalped 28 wickets with his medium-pace bowling.

SAM CURRAN

Sam Curran was phenomenal in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022. He ran away with the man of the series award in the tournament with his exceptional performance. He took 13 wickets in just 6 matches and also contributed with the bat to bail out the team from difficult situations. Sam Curran’s 9 out 13 wickets came in the death overs, signifying his sheer dominance towards the end.

Curran was awarded Player of the series as well as man of the match in the recently concluded T20 WC 2022. Sam Curran is one of the rare talents in the International circuit who has risen to the occasion for the team. He was part of the CSK franchise in IPL 2022 but opted out of the tournament due to his injury. It looks Sam Curran will be available for selection in the IPL 2023 mini-auction.

The young all-rounder from England was included in the CSK squad for 5.5 crores in the IPL 2022 mega auction. But, his performance of late is enough to give him a salary which will be way more than this amount. In 32 matches, Sam Curran has scored 337 runs at an average of 22.46 and a strike rate of 149.77. He has also picked up 32 wickets.
