Asia Cup 2023 Hosting Controversy
Although the Asian Cricket Council announced Pakistan as the host country for the Asia Cup 2023, it seems that the tournament will be shifted to a neutral venue. The BCCI secretary Jay Shah has openly said that India won’t travel to Pakistan to play the Asia Cup, considering the not-so-good political condition between these two nations.
We all know that BCCI has the lion’s share in the revenue of ICC. So, if India won’t participate in the Asia Cup, then the tournament has no meaning. So, there may be a situation in that ACC shifts the tournament to UAE or Sri Lanka so that both India and Pakistan can participate in the event.
According to some rumours Asia Cup 2023 is likely to be postponed as Pakistan cricket board does not want it to be held outside.
