MAYANK AGARWAL

Punjab Kings released Mayank Agarwal before the IPL 2023 auction. It seemed he could not handle the captaincy pressure, which eventually affected his batting. Mayank Agarwal managed to score just 196 runs in the previous IPL edition. His strike rate was 122.

Considering his immense experience and class as an opener, we expect all the franchises to go all guns blazing and acquire him in the IPL 2023 to strengthen their top order. He can be a great addition to any franchise opening the innings.

KANE WILLIAMSON

Kane Williamson has been criticized in the last few years for his slow batting in the IPL. An average of 19 and a strike rate of 93 shows the struggle which Kane Williamson went through in the IPL 2022. His purse value of Rs 14 crore was something that the SRH team management got worried about and released him. But, we won’t be surprised if they target Williamson again in the IPL 2023 mini-auction and get him back at a slightly lower price.

JASON HOLDER

It was very surprising to see Jason Holder getting released by the Lucknow franchise in the IPL 2023 pre-auction process. He had a fairly good IPL 2022, picking 14 wickets. It seems the team management did not find a return on investment of Rs 8.75 crore for Jason Holder. But, we all know the Holder is one of the best all-rounders in the world right now. He will definitely be the center of attraction in the upcoming IPL 2023 auction.

ALEX HALES

The England T20 opener Alex Hales was released by Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the IPL 2023 mini-auction. He pulled out of the tournament due to bubble fatigue. In the recently concluded ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022, Alex hales showed a glimpse of his sheer dominance.

He has the ability to torment the bowling attack to all corners of the ground with ease. If Alex Hales decides to contest in the IPL 2023 auction, he will be one of the players to watch out for.

DANIEL SAMS

Daniel Sams was unexpectedly released by Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2023 pre-auction. He had a decent IPL 2022, picking up 13 wickets in 11 innings. The left-arm pace bowler can swing the new ball both ways. He can also be a great death bowler, with his ability to nail yorkers. It won’t be a surprise if Daniel Sams becomes one of the biggest buys in the upcoming IPL 2023 auction.
