IPL 2022 Playoffs Scenario: Which 4 Teams Will Qualify This Season?. The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League, i.e, IPL 2022, has been off to one of the most intriguing stars in the history of the tournament. The addition of two new teams to the competition has added a new dimension to the Indian Premier League and it is now tougher than ever. BCCI has introduced a new format to the IPL 2022 and although it might seem to be a little bit complex at the beginning, it has surely heightened the audience’s excitement for the tournament.

However, with the addition of two new teams, an unbalance has been created in the Playoffs qualification criteria. Previously, 4 out of 8 teams used to qualify for the playoffs. This year, the playoffs spot has been kept the same but the number of participating teams has been increased 2 which means that the competition to qualify for the knockout stages is much harder from IPL 2022 onwards.

Luckily, from the few matches that have been played so far in the tournament, we can get an idea as to which team has the biggest chance to qualify for the Playoffs this season. Surprisingly, the two teams that have won the Indian Premier League the most number of times namely Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings have both performed very poorly in the Indian Premier League 2022 so far, and they are placed at the very bottom of the table and this has made things much more interesting. Let us now take a look at 4 such teams who we think might qualify for the playoffs of IPL 2022.

1. Rajasthan Royals

Rajasthan Royals were unbeaten in IPL 2022 for a long time until Royal Challengers Bangalore finally beat them in a thrilling match that went on to the death overs. They undoubtedly have one of the strongest and the most balanced team in IPL 2022. The best thing about their team is that the core team of RR is intact and thus they have great chemistry between them.

Moreover, the addition of ace players like Trent Boult, Yuzi Chahal, and Ravichandran Ashwin has only added depth to the team. We thus think that Rajasthan Royals have a sure-shot chance to qualify for the playoffs this season. And we predict that they shall finish at No.1 on the points table this season.

2. Royal Challengers Bangalore

RCB has had one of the most promising starts to an IPL season this year and it is definitely a positive change after the big switch in the captaincy duties. RCB have defeated some pretty solid teams like Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders so far this season and they seem to be in a different form altogether.

They have a terrific bowling and batting lineup and to think that Josh Hazlewood is yet to join this team gives us Goosebumps already. We predict that RCB will finish on no.2 on the points table this season and thus they will easily qualify for the Playoffs.

3. Gujarat Titans

After Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore, Gujarat Titans are undoubtedly the strongest side in IPL 2022. They have the strongest squad in IPL 2022 and they continue winning the match in the tournament. Currently, GT is on top in the IPL 2022 points table.

4. Lucknow Super Giants

We think that there shall be a big fight for the 4th position between Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans but LSG will end up securing the position as they are a better team overall. Gujarat Titans might have a great squad but they lack depth in their batting lineup and they can suffer if they lose a number of early wickets as we saw in the case of Sunrisers Hyderabad. LSG on the other hand does not have such weaknesses and will probably secure the fourth-place finish.
