The focus is on a competitive and experienced team for the future. They have to prepare a complete all-around team. KKR has a big chance of taking at least two of these four players in the auction.
Kolkata Knight Riders are expected to bet on opener Shikhar Dhawan and Australian opener and former Sunrisers Hyderabad captain David Warner in the upcoming mega auction. Quinton de Kock and Chris Lynn are also on the list. Chris Lynn has also played for KKR in the past.
SRK team will have one wicketkeeper and another option for the opening slot. Lynn has led Brisbane Heat in the BBL and de Kock has also led South Africa in all formats. In this way, these four players give the option of covering KKR.
Indian & Overseas Players
Ishan Kisan and Shreyas Iyer can be ideal players for KKR in the middle order. Both are different players from each other. While Kisan is flamboyant and stylish, Iyer is a more traditional player. He can anchor the innings and deliver the finishing kicks in the last overs as well. There were several reports that KKR is looking to buy Iyer and make him a possible captain.
One of the major focuses of KKR in the auction is on the fast bowling group. Due to stringent retention rules, the team had to release all his fast bowlers. Lockie Ferguson, Trent Boult, Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Shami are all modern fast bowlers who are playing the game. Ferguson was a part of KKR from 2018 to VIVO IPL 2021.

Rabada and Boult are the other options along with Pat Cummins who was also released by KKR. Kolkata Knight Riders have always been a team that has favored the spinners over the fast bowlers in the line-up. They have two good spinners in Narine and Varun Chakraborty. One can choose from Ashwin, Shreyas Gopal, and Chahal.
