RCB bought a total of 19 players in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, of which 12 are Indian players while 7 are overseas. Earlier, three players including Kohli, Maxwell & Siraj were retained by Royal Challengers Bangalore. There are 22 players including 8 foreigners in the Royal Challengers Bangalore fleet for IPL 2022 and a total of 1.55 crores are left in the team’s purse after the mega auction.

RCB spent 40.5 crores on foreign players out of the total 90 crores in IPL 2022, which is the highest in terms of spending on foreign players among the ten teams.
RCB New Captain IPL 2022
Glenn Maxwell was earlier considered a strong contender after Kohli stepped down from the captaincy last year but the team has bought veteran South African batsman Faf du Plessis in the auction & appoints him the new captain of RCB.
