ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024: Qualified Teams And Their T20I Schedule, Series Before The Tournament. The cricket world is anxiously awaiting the T20 World Cup 2024, set to take place in the scenic Caribbean and the United States from June 4th to June 30th, 2024. Also, a historic moment is unfolding as the age-old sport of cricket is poised to venture into new territory. The International Cricket Council has revealed that the Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 will happen in the United States and the West Indies.
Moreover, his event will be historic as it signifies the inaugural hosting of a major cricket tournament by the USA. The ICC has recently confirmed the venues for the tournament. Despite having its widely popular bat-and-ball game called baseball, which is one of the most watched sports globally, the USA also boasts a competitive cricket team ranking among the top 20 in the world.
A total of 66 countries will vie for a spot in the 2024 World Cup through a two-year qualifying process. However, This includes 28 teams from Europe (across three events), 14 from Africa (across two events), 9 from Asia (across two events), 8 from the Americas (across two events), and seven from the EAP (across two events). The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 will feature 20 teams, and they will play a total of 55 matches.
