The Board of Control for Cricket in India has extended the deadline for IPL franchises to submit the list of retained players to today, moving it from the previous date of November 15. However, all teams have officially announced the list of players they have retained and released.
The Indian Premier League continues to be India’s premier and thrilling cricket tournament. The upcoming IPL season in 2024 is anticipated to start in mid-March and wrap up at the end of May. The Board of Control for Cricket in India is soon to disclose the detailed schedule for IPL 2024. The tournament will feature a total of 74 matches, following the format used in the previous year’s IPL.

All 10 Teams Remaining Purse Ahead Of IPL 2024 Auction
Each team has a budget of INR 100 crores to assemble their squad for the upcoming edition, indicating a 5 crore increase from the previous season’s budget of 95 crores. Notably, the Punjab Kings have INR 24.10 crore, while the Mumbai Indians have just 15.25 crore. Among the remaining franchises, the Sunrisers Hyderabad hold INR 34 crore. The Gujarat Titans have a purse of INR 18.65 crore and Delhi Capital have INR 28.95 crore.
The Lucknow Super Giants possess the smallest budget of INR 13.90 Cr, while the Rajasthan Royals have a purse of INR 14.5 crore. The Royal Challengers Bangalore have the highest purse of INR 40.75 crore, and the Kolkata Knight Riders have INR 32.70 crore. Lastly, the defending champions, the Chennai Super Kings, have INR 32.1 crore.
