The 31 remaining matches of VIVO IPL 2021 will take place in UAE from Sept 19th to Oct 15th. BCCI made this announcement during its Special General Meeting held on the 29th of May. With the news becoming official, preparations have already begun for the UAE edition.

For the cricket fans staying in the UAE, there is a piece of good news. The local government has allowed 50% of spectators for IPL 2021. The only criteria for entry into the ground will be that they should be vaccinated.

Preparation Of Franchises

Logistic preparations for the IPL 2021 in UAE edition are in full swing. The team franchises are thinking about a possible shift of their team based in UAE during the third week of August.

However, they are waiting for an official confirmation regarding the quarantine protocol to be followed in the UAE. Once the protocols are finalized, the team franchises will book the hotel rooms. They are also deliberating over the foreign players who will take part in IPL 2021 UAE leg.

“Barring one or two teams, you can expect most of the teams to book the same hotels which they did last season. This helps both the team as well as hotel staff to know the demands beforehand. Biosecure bubble arrangements can also be easy if familiar hotel staff is roped in. One of the team franchise members said.
