Kohli Delivers On The Big Stage

Chasing 156, RCB got this match-winning moment from Virat Kohli, sort of. The former captain stayed unbeaten at 75 off 42 balls only. He handled the run chase really well and kept RCB in front for most of it. Venkatesh Iyer gave quick momentum at the top; he was quick and sharp. He made 32 from 16 deliveries and pushed the tempo right from the start. Tim David also chipped in 24 runs from 17 balls, and that helped a lot.

GT spinner Rashid Khan tried to slow things down and keep the match alive. He ended with 2/25 in four overs. Arshad Khan got 1/32, and Mohammed Siraj rounded it out with 1/36 against his old side. RCB wrapped up the chase comfortably in the 18th over. Kohli didn’t get out at all till the very end and basically steered his side to victory.
