Chennai is called Daddy Army due to the glut of aged players. In the next year’s auction, Chennai will look for a young spirit.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

David Warner– The Australian opener David Warner has been the main pillar of batting for SRH. He has also been one of the highest run-scorers in the history of IPL. But it seems Sunrisers Hyderabad would part ways with Warner. He was removed from the captaincy mid-way during the IPL 2021. With reports coming in about a possible internal dispute between Warner and SRH team management, it seems we might never see David Warner playing for SRH.

Kolkata Knight Riders

Dinesh Karthik– He was the captain of KKR till last season. Dinesh Kartik stepped down from the captaincy in 2020 midway of the IPL. The reason was that he wanted to focus more on his batting. Due to IPL 2022 mega auction 5 player retention rule, it would be difficult for Dinesh Kartik to retain his place in the side.

Eoin Morgan – It seems a bit strange to hear how a team can release their captain, but Morgan could neither not show any brilliance in with the bat. Eoin, who scored 134 runs in 15 matches this season could be hardly kept by Kolkata in his team.
