Bhuvneshwar Kumar And Ajinkya Rahane Left Out From The Contract List
The BCCI’s decision to exclude some players from the contract list has raised some eyebrows as well. Some players like Ajinkya Rahane, Ishant Sharma,Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Wriddhiman Saha, Hanuma Vihari and Deepak Chahar have been left entirely by the BCCI’ central contract list.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has played a few limited-over matches in the recent past, but some youngsters seem to have overtaken him. Talented player like Deepak Chahar’s exclusion from contract list is because of his injury issues.
BCCI Retained Shikhar Dhawan In The Contract List
On the other hand, the BCCI has included some deserving names in the Grade C category. The likes of Deepak Hooda, KS Bharat, and Arshdeep Singh have earned their place in this category. However, there was also a surprise inclusion in this category -Shikhar Dhawan.
Dhawan was only playing ODIs for the Indian team and seems to have lost his place to young dashing batsman Shubman Gill. But his inclusion in the contract list suggests that he is still in the plans of BCC selectors.
