The Indian Premier League (IPL), is some days away but fans from India as well as across the globe have begun to bet on their favourite teams to win the title. Altogether 74 matches will be played starting from the 31st of March 2023 and ending on the 28th of May 2023.

TAT IPL 2023 matches will be played at 12 venues with a total of 57 days of some thrilling action. The first game will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad between Chennai Super Kings and defending champions Gujarat Titans. The tournament will be played on a home and away basis. The venues for the IPL 2023 playoffs are yet to be decided.

Four Teams Who Can Make It To The Playoffs Of IPL 2023 (Predictions)

Rajasthan Royals (GT)

Rajasthan Royals won the first edition of IPL in 2008 under the determined leadership of late legendary Australian cricketer Shane Warne but since then the team hasn’t won a title. RR finished as runner-up in the last season and this time too they are looking to at least qualify for the playoffs of IPL 2023 or might even win the tournament keeping in mind the type of players they have in their squad.

Sanju Samson’s captaincy might be tested but the presence of players like Jos Butler, Trent Boult, and Jason Holder will be beneficial for the side. Their spin department consisting of veteran Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Adam Zampa looks perfect.

It will be interesting to see Devdutt Padikkal bat under demanding situations. Rajasthan Royals is a mix of youth and experience like Chennai Super Kings and this Rajasthan Royals team consists of players who can adjust to conditions well.

Gujarat Titans (GT)

Gujarat Titans showcased tremendous consistency in their first season last year under the able leadership of Hardik Pandya but will it be able to repeat the same performances? At present, the team is looking strong in all departments. GT consists of all-rounders including Hardik Pandya Rahul Tewatia and Vijay Shankar.

Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan will be the go-to man while South African David Miller’s and Australian wicketkeeper Matthew Wade’s experience of batting in tough conditions can be a learning process for the younger players.

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson’s presence will be another added factor in the batting order and his captaincy experience will be a guiding run for Hardik Pandya. Gujarat Titans are also a fine fielding unit.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK)

Led by one of the finest captains in the history of IPL and of International cricket, MS Dhoni, Chennai Super Kings is the marked favorite. Although the team went through a poor run in the last season, Dhoni’s clever man management and decision-making have been a big advantage for the side since the tournament was introduced 15 years ago.

Although the wicketkeeper batter is 41 years old and this could be his last IPL season. CSK is looking strong enough to qualify for the playoffs and even to win the title. The team has enough options in all departments. All-rounders like Ravindra Jadeja, Moeen Ali, Shivam Dube, and Dwaine Pretorius can be match-winners on their day.

The team is boosted with the addition of England all-rounder Ben Stokes. Chennai Super Kings have some exciting young talents like Simarjeet Singh, Nishant Sindhu, Ajay Mandal, Bhagath Varma, etc who could be future stars. With experienced pros like Ajinkya Rahane and Ambati Rayudu in the middle order, the team looks like a strong batting unit.

Punjab Kings (PBKS)

The signing of England all-rounder Sam Curran for a sum of INR 18.5 crore will add robustness to the bowling as well as the batting line-up. Arshdeep Singh will be crucial especially at the death alongside an experience Kagiso Rabada. Zimbabwean all-rounder, Sikandar Raza’s role will be crucial alongside other all-rounders like Rishi Dhawan and Liam Livingstone.

Seasoned campaigners like Shikhar Dhawan and Jonny Bairstow would be crucial in the batting order. Although Punjab Kings have included some newcomers, batsman Harpreet Bhatia and pacer Vidwath Kaverappa are two youngsters to watch out for.
