IPL 2021: PREDICTED PLAYING XI

VIVO IPL 2021 UAE leg is about to start from sep 19 . Every team has their own playing XI who fight against their opponent. In international cricket, there have few been instances where the commentators and Cricket Pundits have come up with all-time XI of a particular team. Seeing this tradition, we at sportsganga thought about predicting a playing XI, which would be combined from all the 8 teams playing this IPL. Let us see who gets a chance to feature in this mega team:

IPL 2021: PREDICTED PLAYING XI

We have prepared this list as per the regular batting order.

1 . ROHIT SHARMA (C)

The first on the list is Rohit Sharma. He has been included as the captain of this star-studded side along with the role of an opener. Rohit Sharma deserves his place in this side as a captain due to his IPL record. Rohit has led his side Mumbai Indians to 5-time IPL championship.

He is currently the fourth-highest run-scorer in the IPL. In 202 innings, Rohit has scored 5480 runs at an average of 31.5 and a healthy strike rate of 130.5.

2 . DAVID WARNER

The companion to Rohit as an opener is David Warner. The attacking opening batsmen and the former captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad have been a player of immense talent and record. Currently, he is ranked 3rd in the list of most runs in the IPL.

In 148 innings, Warner has accumulated 5447 runs at an astonishing average of 42.2 and strike rate of 140.1. He would be a very dangerous partner for Rohit Sharma. The left-right hand combination can tear any bowling attack when on song.

3.VIRAT KOHLI

If any cricketer would be an automatic choice for any team, it has to be Virat Kohli. He has been the most successful batsmen of the IPL so far. The captain of RCB has the highest runs in IPL history.

In 191 innings, the modern-day great Virat has scored 6076 runs at an average of 38.0 and strike rate of 130.4. This includes 5 centuries. Virat has been not so successful in IPL as a captain. This is the reason why he has not been made the captain of this mega team.

4. SURESH RAINA

No 4-batting order for any side is considered to be the backbone. IPL Mr. consistent Suresh Raina has been included in this list as no 4-batting order batsman. Suresh Raina has been one of the highlights of the IPL. He is currently ranked no 2 in the list of top 5 batsmen.

In 195 innings, Raina has accumulated a total of 5491 runs at an average of 33.1 and a strike rate of 136.9. He has been the pillar for the CSK over the years. He could not take part in the IPL last season due to personal issues.

 5. AB DE VILLIERS

The South African great AB de Villiers features in our list as no 5 batsmen. He has been one of the most important members of RCB over the years. He was also part of Delhi Daredevils during the initial few years. ABD bats in the middle order for RCB and he has played some memorable knocks over the years.

He is ranked 6th in top runs scorer in the IPL. In 162 innings, ABD has scored 5056 runs at an average of 40.8 and a strike rate of 152.4. He has also scored 3 centuries.

6. RISHABH PANT (WK)

The new sensation of modern-day cricket Rishabh Pant has been included in our list as a wicket-keeper batsman. Rishabh has been on song for the last 3-4 months in international cricket. This IPL season, he has been named as the captain of the Delhi Capitals in the absence of Shreyas Iyer.

The flamboyant player has played 76 matches in the IPL. He has scored 2292 runs at an average of 35.3 and a strike rate of 149.8. We also considered MS Dhoni for this role, but considering the age factor and the future, Rishabh Pant won this battle.

7 .CHRIS MORRIS

The player who features in our list as an all-rounder is Chris Morris. The South African pace bowler has been brought by Rajasthan Royals for a whopping 16 crore. He brings in a lot of value to the team with his pace bowling along with lower-order batting.

In 77 matches played so far, he has picked up 94 wickets with an economy rate of 7.81. He would be a key player in this side as a pure all-rounder.

8 . RASHID KHAN

When we talk of the Afghanistan cricket team, one name strikes our mind and that is Rashid Khan. This bowler has been a player of immense talent. Rashid has played 69 matches in the IPL so far and has taken 85 wickets. His economy of 6.23 is one of the lowest in the IPL.

The best thing about Rashid Khan is his ability to bat lower down the order and play some good cameos. He fits in our team as a second all-rounder.

9. BHUVNESHWAR KUMAR

The Indian pace bowler deserves a place on our list. He has been one of the most consistent bowlers in the IPL. Bhuvi does not have a very good pace, but this line length along with knuckle deliveries stands him apart. In 126 IPL matches so far, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has picked 139 wickets at an economy rate of 7.31. His best bowling figure has been 5/19.

10.RAVICHANDRAN ASHWIN

Ashwin gets a place on our list as an off-spin bowler. He is currently ranked no 6th bowler in terms of wickets in the IPL. Ravichandran Ashwin has picked up 139 wickets in 159 games at an economy rate of 6.90. His skill has been the carrom ball which he has mastered over the years. Ashwin has been successful as a batsman also who can come lower down the order and play some useful knocks.

11.JASPREET BUMRAH

The 11th player on the list is the yorker king from India Jaspreet Bumrah. He has been the leading bowler for Mumbai Indians over the years. Bumrah is very lethal with his Yorkers which is enough for any top-ranked batsman to get out. He has also developed slow cutters recently. In 99 matches played so far, Bumrah has picked 115 wickets at an economy of 7.41. His best figures include 4/14.
