ICC Test Team, Player Rankings [Updated] Before India vs England Test Series. India and England will once again lock horns for a five-match test series after two years of The Pataudi Trophy 2021-22. Both teams will be eyeing a victory to move ahead on the points table of the World Test Championship (WTC) of the current cycle 2023-25, as they meet for five games across different venues in India. 

Previously, the teams drew the series with 2-2 in England, and will be looking for a new approach in red ball cricket under different captains and team management. Currently, on the ICC Test Team Rankings, India stands taller at the number 2 Spot with 117 Rating points followed by England on number three with 115 points.

ICC Test Player Rankings : Batsmen 

As per the latest ICC Test player rankings, two players from both the countries have showcased phenomenal performances. While the English batter Joe Root Currently stands on the number two spot, India’s former captain Virat Kohli has made it to the number six spot with 775 rating points, followed by young English squad member Harry Brook and Indian captain Rohit Sharma

ICC Test Player Rankings : Bowlers 

The Indian bowlers have Overshadowed the England’s bowlers in the ICC Test bowler rankings as three players representing India made it to the list while only two English players ranked. The rankings are currently led by the Indian off spin bowler Ravichandran Ashwin, followed by Jasprit boom brand and Ravindra Jadeja with 787 and 774 points. The English pace duo Ollie Robinson and James Anderson have also made it to the Rankings with 762 and 761 points respectively.

ICC Test Player Rankings : All-Rounders 

The ICC Test All-Rounder Rankings have given the throne to Ravindra Jadeja who is far ahead of all the other players present in the list with 434 points followed by Indian player Ravichandran Ashwin on the number 2 Spot. English captain Ben Stokes and top order batsman Joe Root have also made it to the list followed by yet another Indian all-rounder player Axar Patel.
