ODI World Cup 2023 Semi-Finalists Prediction: Which 4 Teams Will Qualify?. The 2023 ODI World Cup is currently at a very exciting stage, as it is midway through the group stages and every team has played at least a total of five matches. We currently have an idea as to which of the teams will finish in the top four in the points table and proceed to play in the semifinals. However, there might be some surprise changes in the last few matches and only time will reveal that. In this article, we talk about four such teams that have the highest chances of making it to the semifinals of the 2023 ODI World Cup.
The first semifinal will be played between the team that finishes first on the points table and the team that finishes fourth on the points table on 15th November at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. The second semifinal will be played between the team that finishes second and the team that finishes third on the points table on 16th November at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens.
1. India
India are hands down the favorites to win the 2023 ODI World Cup, being the host nation. They are the only unbeaten team in the tournament so far and are at the very top of the table. They seemingly have a very good balance in their team this time, with their batters and bowlers all in decent form. The fact that Virat Kohli is in-form is an added advantage for the Blues because he is definitely their X-factor. They have won all 6 of their matches in the tournament so far.
Team India will make it to the semifinals without a doubt and will also probably go on to win the title the way they are playing currently. So this one is a no-brainer.

2. South Africa
South Africa’s dominant performance in the 2023 ODI World Cup so far has come as a shock for everyone. They have been the surprise elements of the tournament, as nobody had expected the proteas to perform so well. The current South African team is not as star-studded like it earlier, but their top players are carrying the team in every single match. They are currently at No. 2 on the points table and will definitely make it to the semifinals.

3. Australia
Australia did not receive a great start to the tournament. They succumbed to back-to-back losses against India and South Africa, following which they were at the bottom of the table. However, the mighty Aussies managed to make a turnaround from their third match onwards. Their wins against South Africa, Pakistan and the Netherlands helped them gain confidence. They completely turned the tables by defeating New Zealand in their most recent match, which brought them into the fourth position on the points table. They are expected to make it to the semifinals now.
4. New Zealand
New Zealand’s story in the 2023 World Cup so far has been exactly opposite to that of Australia’s. They were off to a great start and won the first four matches of their campaign but their loss against India changed things for the Kiwis. Following that, they also lost to Australia. Due to these back-to-back losses, they now have the same points as Australia and are currently third on the points table. However, it will probably not make a big difference, as they are expected to win all of their remaining matches. Hence, they are most likely to qualify for the semifinals.
