Gujarat Titans, one of the two debutants in IPL 2022, surpassed everyone’s expectations by lifting the most coveted IPL trophy in their inaugural season. As the teams again gear up for the next season, the intensity of the bar is set to increase further.
Last season, before the start of IPL, we predicted Gujarat Titans among the 2 teams who could win the IPL 2022 trophy. Our prediction came true. Seeing the performance of all the 10 teams in the 15th edition and analyzing all the factors such as team strength, previous track record, etc, we have come up with our prediction regarding who will win IPL 2023.

IPL 2023 EXPECTED PLAYOFF TEAMS
GUJARAT TITANS
The defending champions Gujarat Titans will start as favourites to reach the playoff stage. The team under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya had a phenomenal season, where they won 10 matches out of 14 in the league stage and were the first team to reach the playoff. Gujarat Titans have a very settled and balanced team and will be among the favourites to reach the top 4 in the IPL 2023.
RAJASTHAN ROYALS
Rajasthan Royals were the runner-up in IPL 2022. After a long time, Rajasthan impressed everyone with their consistent performance throughout the season. They were the second team to reach the IPL 2022 playoff stage.
The players contributed to the success. They were on course to win their second trophy, but a poor performance by the batters led them down. We expect RR to be among the teams reaching the IPL 2023 playoff stage.

CHENNAI SUPER KINGS
Chennai Super Kings disappointed their fans with a poor performance in IPL 2022. Ravindra Jadeja, the newly appointed captain before the start of the season, could not live up to the expectations and fail miserably. After he relinquished IPL 2022 captaincy mid-way, the writing was on the wall for CSK.
We all know Chennai Super Kings have the legacy of bouncing back after a bad season. They cannot be written off, and we can see CSK among the 4 teams in IPL 2023 playoff.
MUMBAI INDIANS
Mumbai Indians finished IPL 2022 campaign with only 4 wins from 14 games. The five-time champions did not play the brand of cricket for which they are famous. Rohit Sharma had a flop season both with the bat and as a captain.
But, it seems MI are desperate to change their fortunes in IPL 2023, as few Indian players have been sent to England for early preparation. Mumbai Indians, if they play up to their reputation, can easily feature among the top 4 teams in IPL 2023.

These are the 4 teams that we think can reach the playoff stage in IPL 2023. But, reaching the playoff stage is just one of the steps to winning the IPL 2023 trophy. Among these 4 teams, only 2 will get a chance to feature in the IPL 2023 finals. Our assessment says that Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals will be the 2 teams who will feature in the finals of IPL 2023.
The winner prediction of IPL 2023 is very difficult, but in our expert opinion, it could be again Gujarat Titans, or 5-time IPL champion Mumbai Indians. MI are injured lions, and we know that an injured lion is very dangerous. Mumbai will give their best to win back their fan’s trust while GT will try to continue on the winning path. Cricket is an uncertain sport, where any team can bounce back on any given day. Although our prediction of who will win IPL 2023 favours Mumbai Indians, we should not be surprised if any other team sneaks and gets a hands-on IPL 2023 trophy.
