But Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is still waiting for their first IPL title. RCB released only five players ahead of the mini-auction, which was held on 23 December in Kochi.
RCB entered the IPL 2022 mini-auction with a purse of only 8 crores and the costliest player bought by RCB was England batsman Will Jacks (3.2 Cr). After the mini-auction RCB had 1.55 Cr left in their purse.
Faf-du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be eyeing their first IPL title in the 16th edition of IPL. TATA IPL 2023 kickstarts on March 31 with the opening match between defending champion Gujarat Titans (GT) and four-time IPL winners Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has played three matches so far in IPL 2023. In the first match RCB defeated five-time IPL champions Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians (MI) on April 2 at M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru. But they suffered two consecutive losses.

There are 25 players in the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) squad this season, of which 17 are Indians and 8 are foreigners. Some players like Dinesh Karthik, and Glenn Maxwell will probably play their last IPL while 8 players will appear in Indian Premier League (IPL) for the first time.

Note- Luvnith Sisodia will replace Rajat Patidar, NZ all-rounder Michael Bracewell will replace Will Jacks and Josh Hazlewood’s replacement is yet to announce. For the first few matches Wanindu Hasaranga will not be available as he is playing against NZ.
