IPL 2023: Virat Kohli Hits Century And Became Only Indian To Score 500+ For The 6th Time IN IPL: Another day, another record for Virat Kohli. The former India and Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper tied Chris Gayle for the most IPL hundreds on Thursday, striking his sixth in an eight-wicket thrashing of Sunrisers Hyderabad.

RCB In the second inning, came to bat with the image of the playoffs in their heads. Faf and Virat began hitting sixes all over the place and won the match in 18 overs. Not only that, but Virat has also broken some IPL records.

On Thursday evening, against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kohli declared he’d had enough and would no longer bat the way he had been. There was a goal, which may be attributed to RCB’s emphasis on net run rate and a mindset of utter dominance from the outset in pursuit of 187.

The RCB opener celebrated his century with a loft over deep mid-wicket for a six, eliciting a big cheer from the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium crowd, before Bhuvneshwar Kumar removed him with a short delivery on the very next delivery. Kohli managed to hit 12 fours and four maximums in a 63-ball innings.

Kohli has not scored a century in the last 4 seasons of IPL. His first came in 2016, during a season in which the then-RCB captain scored over 900 runs, including four tonnes. Not only that, but Kohli has joined David Warner as the only Indian batsman to reach 500+ runs in an IPL season for the sixth time.

Virat Kohli (6 Times)

The former Indian and RCB skipper is widely considered one of the world’s top batters in all forms. He has been an integral part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batting order and has scored more than 500 runs in six seasons: 2011, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2018, and 2023. His 973 runs in the 2016 season set a record for the most runs scored by a batsman in a single IPL season.

David Warner (6 Times)

The Australian opener has been a steady performer in the IPL, particularly for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Despite a dismal season with Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2021, Warner is one of the best match-winners in IPL history.

Warner hit 528, 562, 848, 641, 692, and 548 runs in six straight seasons from 2014 to 2020, with his greatest total of 848 runs coming in the 2016 season. Warner’s aggressive style and ability to score runs quickly make him a difficult opponent for any bowling attack.

Shikhar Dhawan (5 Times)

Over the years, the left-handed opening batsman has been a constant performer in the IPL. He has played for several IPL franchises. He has formerly played for the Mumbai Indians, Delhi Daredevils, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Capitals, and Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League.

Although he has scored more than 500 runs in a season five times, with his biggest total of 618 runs coming in the 2020 season. Dhawan is noted for his aggressive style and ability to propel his team to the top of the order.

KL Rahul (5 Times)

The Lucknow Super Giants captain has been in superb form in the IPL, routinely hitting runs for his team. He has scored more than 500 runs in five different seasons, with his greatest total of 670 coming in the 2020 season.

KL Rahul had a fantastic IPL career. He was allowed to represent the Indian cricket team due to his success in the IPL, and he has now solidified his spot in the Indian side.

Suresh Raina (3 Times)

Another left-handed batter on the list is, who has scored 500 runs or more in each of the last three IPL seasons. He had 548 runs in 2013, 520 in 2010, and 548 in 2013. Raina’s batting style is known for its explosiveness and ability to score quickly in the middle overs. He was a major player of the Chennai Super Kings team that won the Indian Premier League three times.
