India To Play Australia In Their Opening Match Of World Cup 2023

According to ICC World cup schedule, which was released on June 27 team India will face Australia in the opening match of the showcase event in Chennai’s Chepauk Stadium. Following their match against Australia, India will face Afghanistan on October 11.

In all, 48 matches will be contested among the World Cup’s ten countries, with India, England, Australia, South Africa, Bangladesh, Pakistan, New Zealand, and Afghanistan gaining direct qualifying. Sri Lanka and Netherlands added to the list through a qualifying competition in Zimbabwe in June.
