IPL 2023 Mini Auction: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Retained and Released players List. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) the most loved side in the Indian Premier League over the years has always been the first-choice favorite for many cricketing fans. It may be for this generation’s hero Virat Kohli or other international giants the Challengers have always shown great team balance in their strongly built sides.

Players like legendary Indian spinner Anil Kumble, veteran batter Rahul Dravid, Proteas all-rounder J.Kallis and kiwi great Ross Taylor alongside then-rising sparks Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, KL Rahul and many more have been a part of this power-packed side.

Though the challengers have never found recognition as a champion team due to unfortunate losses despite their prolific performance in many editions of the tournament, they have still been the most substantial opposition to all other teams competing with them and have been regular entertainers for all their fans.

RCB Performance In IPL 2022

The last edition however proved to be mediocre for the men in blazing red as they managed to be the 4th team in the points table with 8 wins and 6 losses thus booking a spot in the eliminator to take on the newcomers Lucknow Supergiants.

With Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell completely out of touch in the last edition, the team had their hopes on their newly moved-in skipper Faf du Plessis, however even he didn’t excel with the bat.

But with handy contributions from young Indian batter Rajat Patidar, allrounder Shabaz Ahmed and some quirky finishes by the ex-KKR skipper DK, RCB managed to keep themselves within the contest with most of the big guns in the tournament disappointing with their performance. However, KL Rahul led side Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) proved to be too promising to the tumbling Bangalore side in the eliminator.

With a very strongly built batting order, including international giants and domestic performers RCB is expected to retain most of their players in the IPL 2023 mini-auction.
