Asia Cup 2023 Squad: Team List, Players, And Head Coach For The Tournament. Fans will see the biggest Asian cricketing rivalry between India vs Pakistan on Sep 2 at Kandy as Asia Cup is going to start on Aug 30 at Pakistan and Sri Lanka. First time in the history of the Asia Cup the 16th season of the 6 Asian Nations tournament will be hosted on the hybrid model.
Out of 13 matches defending champion Sri Lanka will host 9 and rest 4 will be hosted by Pakistan at Multan and Lahore. First-time qualifier for the tournament Nepal will face Pakistan in the opening match of Asia Cup 2023 at Multan.
Pakistan is the team who announced their 17-man squad captained by Babar Azam. Bangladesh and Nepal also announced their squad. India, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka will do the soon.
This time tournament will be played in the ODI format. UAE hosted the last ODI format of Asia Cup in 2018 where Rohit Sharma -led India beat Bangladesh and won the record 7th Asia Cup title. Shikhar Dhawan was awarded man of the tournament.
