IND vs ENG Test Series: India Beat England By An Innings And 64 Runs To Clinch Series 4-1. India emerged victorious in the 5th Test match against England, winning by an innings and 64 runs runs. India set a target of 473/8 runs for England at the end of day 2, but they were unable to chase it down. They made history by defeating England 4-1 in the recently concluded Test series. The spin trio of Ashwin, Kuldeep, and Jadeja proved to be formidable, while Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Yashasvi Jaiswal anchored the batting line-up with crucial centuries.

This victory marks their 17th consecutive Test series win at home, showcasing their dominance on home turf. Although England won the first Test in a thrilling finish, India showed great resilience and bounced back with convincing wins in the next four Tests. This series win highlights India’s remarkable depth and ability to perform under pressure, solidifying their place in cricketing history.

Despite missing key players like Virat Kohli and KL Rahul after the opening match, they showed resilience and depth to secure the series win by 4-1. Young talents like Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored 712 runs at an average of 89, and Shubman Gill, who contributed 452 runs, demonstrated the promising future of Indian cricket.

Debutants Dhruv Jurel and Sarfaraz Khan smoothly transitioned from domestic to international cricket, strengthening the batting lineup. England, despite initially leading, missed several opportunities and may regret not achieving a historic win.

The inconsistent performances of experienced players like Root, Bairstow, and Stokes, none averaging above 30, have been a significant drawback. Anderson only managed 10 wickets, but newcomers Hartley and Bashir showed promise with notable wicket hauls, offering a bright spot for England.
