Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season came to a halt mid-way due to the resurgence of the covid pandemic. The decision of BCCI to conduct the remaining matches of VIVO IPL 2021 in the UAE has brought smiles to the face of a few franchises.

They were tottering at the time when IPL 2021 was underway. But as it is said that every adversity brings an opportunity, in the same way, few teams will be happy that they got much-needed time to have their problems ironed out.

Let us try to analyze three teams who will have an advantage in IPL 2021 part 2 in UAE

PUNJAB KINGS

Punjab Kings have won only three matches from the eight games played so far. They have one of the best opening pairs with KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal, providing a solid start. However, KL Rahul was diagnosed with appendicitis, due to which he would have missed 4-5 games. But, since the IPL 2021 got postponed, he got enough time to recover. He is now fit and fine and ready to roar.

The inclusion of KL Rahul in the IPL UAE leg will boost the morale of the Punjab Kings.

They have also got ample time to regroup as a team and think about the ways to bounce back in the IPL 2021. Chris Gayle will also be available as he will return after the CPL. If Gayle shows good form during the CPL, he can bring good momentum in the batting unit.

DELHI CAPITALS

The second franchise that will be happy with the postponement of IPL 2021 is Delhi Capitals. The team led by young Risbhah Pant has fired from all cylinders and is currently placed at the top with six wins from 8 matches. Delhi Capitals was hit with a huge blow, having lost their regular captain Shreyas Iyer. He was ruled out of this IPL edition due to a shoulder injury.

However, since IPL 2021 got postponed to September- October, this has come as a blessing in disguise for DC. Shreyas Iyer has recovered from his shoulder injury. His inclusion in the side will be beneficial.

Shreyas Iyer may also captain the side for the remaining matches of IPL 2021. However, the final decision will be taken by the franchise closer to the start of IPL 2021, part 2. He can bat at the number third position. This will strengthen the already balanced middle-order. He was one of the most successful batsmen of IPL 2020, scoring 519 runs.

The postponement of IPL 2021 will also help R Ashwin to return back to the side. He had taken back his name, citing family issues. This will help the Delhi capitals to strengthen their bowling attack.

RAJASTHAN ROYALS

Rajasthan Royals will be the third team that will benefit from the postponement of IPL 2021. The side led by Sanju Samson was suffering from the injury to their key foreign players. Ben Stokes was ruled out of IPL 2021 after the first match due to a finger injury. He has recovered well and will be available for selection.

Another star player and ace bowler, Jofra Archer, also missed the IPL 2021 first leg due to a shoulder injury. He is also expected to join the team subject to the ECB allowing these key players to participate in IPL 2021 UAE leg.

Both these English players will have a massive role in turning the fortunes for the Rajasthan Royals in the remaining matches of IPL 2021.
