PSL 2023: PSL Captains List, Their T20I Stats, And Net Worth In 2023. The Pakistan Super League or the PSL is now attracting players from various parts of the world. Though the PSL cannot be compared with long-run tournaments like the BBL or the IPL, still they have created their sensation in the middle-east countries. 

Eights season of PSL will take place from Feb 19th to Mar 19 at Karachi, Lahore, Multan And Rawalpindi.

The HBL PSL has 6 participating teams namely Islamabad United captained by Shadab Khan, Karachi Kings – skipper Imad Wasim, Lahore Qalandars – Shaheen Afridi, Multan Sultans – Md. Rizwan, Peshawar Zalmi – skipper Babar Azam and Quetta Gladiators – captained by ex-Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed.

1. Islamabad United – Shadab Khan

The team from the capital city is captained by Pakistani spin dynamo Shadab Khan, who represents Pakistan in all 3 formats of the game. Shadab has played 6 tests scoring 300 runs at an average of 33.33 with 3 50+ scores. Khan also has 14 wickets up his sleeves. The multi-format cricketer also shows great resistance in One day with nearly 600 runs and 70 wickets with a batting average of 28.38. 

Shadab has proved himself to be the T20 veteran scoring 476 runs in 38 innings at a strike rate of 143 and picking up 98 international wickets at a healthy economy of 7.08. His overall T20 stats are 2088 runs and 258 wickets in 225 appearances. 

This immensely talented cricketer has an overall net worth of $1.5 Million. 

2. Karachi Kings – Imad Wasim

Imad Wasim is another multi-format cricketer who has served Pakistan cricket across all limited-overs games, as he was a handy allrounder in the Odis and a substantial pick in the T20i side, with some great performance in the domestic shorter format of the game.

Imad played 55 ODI matches for Pakistan as an all-rounder and scored 986 runs averaging 43 and picking up 44 wickets. Wasim also played 58 international T20s with 339 runs striking at 143 and also picked 55 wickets. 

Imad’s domestic T20 stats are even more vivid with 2500+ runs and nearly 250 wickets in 280 matches. In a short-spanned but comprehensive career, Imad had a net worth of $2 Million.

3. Lahore Qalandars – Shaheen Afridi

Shaheen Shah Afridi is the latest pace-bowling sensation of Pakistani cricket, a team which has produced probably the greatest of limited overs pacers in modern-day cricket, from Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Imran Khan, Mohammad Asif to Shoaib Akhtar and finally Wahab Riaz. 

In the nation producing legendary pace bowlers, Shaheen is a legend in making, 99 test wickets, 62 ODI wickets, and 58 T20 wickets in his short but celebrated International career. Having played T20s in the PSL, Bangladesh Premier League, and England’s T20 Blast, with a total of 128 wickets. In this short career, he has a net worth of $6 Million.

4. Multan Sultans – Md. Rizwan

The new talk of the nation for Pakistan in the T20 international cricket, also featuring in the ICC Men’s T20I Team of the year both in 2021 and 2022. Rizwan is again another multi-format cricketer who is also the vice-captain of his nation. He has appeared in 27 tests scoring 1353 runs averaging 38, and 52 one-day internationals scoring 1247 runs at an average of 32.8. 

Rizwan has proved to excel in the shorter format, playing 80 international and 216 domestic T20 matches scoring 2635 runs and 2805 runs respectively, averaging over 48.8. Rizwan the master batter has a net worth of $6 Million.

5. Peshawar Zalmi – Babar Azam

Pakistani captain Babar is considered the greatest cricketer in modern-day cricket. Among all the batting greats who are regarded as greats of the game, Babar is highly regarded for the last 3-4 years as he rose to the occasion when all his other competitors were going through a bad patch. Babar has featured for Pakistan in 47 tests scoring 3696 runs and averaging 48.6. 

Babar’s ODI format record is also eminent as he scored 4800+ runs in 95 matches, where he averages almost 60. Babar also has a great hand in the T20I format playing 99 matches and scoring 3355 runs and 3472 runs in 104 matches in domestic T20s averaging 41.4 and 40.9 respectively. The skipper’s net worth is $5 Million. 

6. Quetta Gladiators – Sarfaraz Ahmed

The Gladiators captain is among the most experienced captains in the PSL as he is the ex-skipper of the Pakistani national side who led them to victory in the 2017 Champions Trophy. Sarfaraz scored nearly 3000 test runs in 51 matches making his test come back in 2022 against England.

2315 runs in 117 matches in OdIs, 818 T20I runs in 61 appearances and nearly 4000 runs in 133 matches playing domestically in the PSL and T20 Blast. He has the maximum net worth among 2023 PSL captains of $11 Million.
