They defeated the Gujarat Titans by 33 runs. Lucknow Super Giants won the toss and decided to bat first. Gujarat’s bowlers managed to restrict them to 163. Marcus Stoinis made 58 and captain KL Rahul added 32 runs.
GT’s batsmen started well but after the good start, their batting collapsed. Yash Thakur and Krunal Pandya demolished the opponents’ batting order. Yash Dayal took a fifer while Krunal took 3 wickets. It was the first time in the Indian Premier League history that LSG defeated Gujarat Titans. After this victory Giants reached on 3rd position in the IPL 2024 points table while the Titans remained in the 7th position.
