India Tour Of England 2025: Schedule, Squads, Head-to-Head, Streaming, And All You Need to Know. India will play five test matches vs. England starting from 20th June. It will be the beginning of a new era for world cricket as two of cricket’s renowned nations contest over five red-ball matches under a new title of historic intent in the Sachin–Anderson Trophy, named after Sachin Tendulkar and James Anderson.

25-year-old Shubman Gill has taken the captaincy mantle, following the retirements of two modern greats, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. For England, Ben Stokes’ troops continue their exhilarating “Bazball” revolution guided by coach Brendon McCullum.

This is both teams’ first assignment of the 2025–27 ICC World Test Championship (WTC) era, and the matches will have significance in the context of the WTC calendar year. As already mentioned, India is the WTC 2023 runner-up, and it hopes to establish an early deterrent in foreign conditions; England is seeking momentum toward its first WTC Final.

With new leadership, exciting young players, and the pressure of a legacy from a new trophy, the India vs. England series will not only be an intense rivalry but also a change in the Test cricket narrative.
