Leeds United Football Club: A Brief History and Overview. Leeds United Football Club, also known as the Whites, is a Leeds-based football club in West York, England. It was founded on October 17, 1919, and plays its home ground matches at Elland Road Ground which has a capacity of more than thirty-seven thousand people.

The Club is owned by Aser Group and 49ers Enterprises and is under the guidance of Head Coach Javi Gracia and under the chairmanship of Andrea Radizzani.

Leeds United Club competes in the Premier League, which is the highest level of the English Football League system. Leeds United has won the League Championship three times, clinched four second-division titles, lifted the FA Cup once, claimed the EFL Cup once, and triumphed in both the Charity Shield and the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup twice.

The best period of the Club has been in the 1960s and 1970s under the leadership of Don Revie. The Club has not only been the winner in many famous tournaments but also runner-up in many such tournaments.

The Club has its main rivalries with Manchester United, West Yorkshire derbies, Millwall and Chelsea. The Club has faced many good and bad times under various mentorships such as Don Revie, Howard Wilkinson, Graham and O’Leary, Peter Ridsdale, Cellino, and Radrizzani till today.
