IND vs ENG: ICC Test Player Rankings Ahead Of India vs England 2nd Test. India and England are all set to lock horns once again for the 2nd Test Match of the 5 Match Test Series of England’s tour of India. The 2nd Test Match will be held from 2nd to 6th February 2024 at the Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam also known as Vizag. 

The teams previously met for the 1st Test match, wherein India lost the game in an unexpected turn of events by 28 runs. The English debutant Tom Hartley took a 7-wicket haul in the 2nd innings to lead England towards the victory. 

Both the teams have suffered big blows as their star spinners have been ruled out of the 2nd Test. Both Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul have been ruled out as a precautionary measure to recover for the rest of the Test matches. ICC Test Player Rankings : Batsmen 

After the first Test match, the Indian captain Rohit Sharma was dropped down from the top 10 Batsmen rankings, after a poor performance. However, the only Indian batsmen who has continuously made his mark in the batsmen rankings is Virat Kohli.

On the other hand, two English batsmen have remained in the Top List, with former test captain Joe Root maintaining his position on the number two spot, and Harry Brook still climbing on the top with 765 points.

ICC Test Player Rankings : Bowlers 

The Indian bowlers have continued to make a higher impact in Test cricket as compared to the English bowlers in the ICC Test bowler rankings. The rankings are still led by the Indian off spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, followed by Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja with 853, 825 and 754 points respectively. England’s fast bowlers Ollie Robinson and James Anderson have taken the number 6 and 8 spot in the Rankings with 754 and 753 points respectively.

ICC Test Player Rankings : All-Rounders 

The Indian squad suffered a huge blow as their best all-rounder player Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the second test match after a hamstring injury in the first game. However, Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel Stand tall for India in the second game against the English all-rounder Joe Root and Ben Stokes who have also made it to the list.
