Asia Cup 2023: Updated Points Table, Leading Run-Scorers, Wicket-Takers After Super 4s Match Between IND vs PAK On 11 September: India vs. Pakistan demonstrated once again why it is the most fascinating sporting event in the world. India defeated Pakistan by 228 runs to take first place in the Asia Cup 2023 Super 4s points standings. This rain-affected match was rescheduled for the next day, and India dominated. With Virat Kohli as the match’s hero, rain played a secondary role in driving Pakistan to the tertiary character of the day.

Pakistan won the toss and chose India to bat first on the opening day. Rohit Sharma and Subhman Gill got off to a solid start; however, rain interrupted play. The game continued the following day from the same spot, with Virat Kohli reaching yet another century against Pakistan.

Kohli and KL Rahul stayed to the end and put on a 233-run partnership. Aside from Kohli, Rahul played a wonderful century to mark his homecoming. Virat Kohli broke multiple records, including the fastest 13000 runs in ODIs, while KL Rahul, who was making his return to international cricket after a six-month absense, and Kohli made a gigantic total of 356 runs in this match.

Pakistan was already on the back foot when it came to pursuing this massive goal. They got off to a bad start when Jasprit Bumrah, who was making his return to ODIs after almost a year, bowled Imam in the fifth over. Following that, India’s bowling attack totally demolished Pakistan’s batting order, with Pandya striking World No. 1 ODI hitter Babar Azam for only 10 runs.
