WWE: Top 5 Fastest Royal Rumble Eliminations In History. The Royal Rumble is by far one of the most interesting pay-per-view events in the WWE. It is hosted by WWE every year in the month of January (mostly), and the main event features 30 participants who enter the ring one by one, starting with two initial fighters.

This roughly means that two fighters start the match, and one new fighter joins them every 90 seconds. A fighter is eliminated when he is thrown over the top rope and both of his feet touch the ground.

The winner of the match is awarded a WWE title shot in the main event of Wrestlemania, the biggest event in all of professional wrestling. The first ever Royal Rumble match was played on January 24, 1988, and it was won by “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan.

There are a lot of historical records that come to mind when we speak of the Royal Rumble. However, in this article, we will talk about one such record, which is hilarious and stupid in itself. Yes, we will discuss the Top 5 quickest Royal Rumble Eliminations. And believe me, they are quicker than you think.

5. Bushwhacker Luke (Time: 3.9 seconds)

In the 1991 Royal Rumble, Bushwhacker Luke was eliminated in just 3.9 seconds. It was a hilarious moment because he marched his way to the ring, and even after being eliminated by Golga, he kept on marching his way back to the locker room.

4. Owen Hart (Time 3 seconds)

Owen Hart was beaten up badly by his brother Bret Hart before entering the 1995 Royal Rumble, so his fast elimination was quite understandable and self-explanatory. He was eliminated by the British Bulldog in just 3 seconds after entering the ring.

3. Mo (Time: 3 seconds)

Just like Owen Hart’s elimination, Mo’s elimination also came in the 1995 Royal Rumble. Truly speaking, it is a hell of a coincidence that both had the same elimination time on the same day. Mo ran straight into King Kong Bundy, who was at the edge of the ring. Bundy just used Mo’s momentum against him. He got down and threw Mo out using his own momentum, thus eliminating him.

2. The Warlord (Time: 2 seconds)

Terry Scott Szopinski, a.k.a. The Warlord got eliminated in just 2 seconds by Hulk Hogan in the 1989 Royal Rumble. He was a pretty big and strong man, so the creators did him dirty there, if you think about it. However, it was Hulk Hogan’s day to shine, and he was absolutely ruthless that day.

In fact, Warlord fell prey to Hogan’s streak of eliminating five participants in a span of just 20 seconds. Warlord’s record lasted for 20 long years before being broken by Santino Marella.

1. Santino Marella (Time: 1.5 seconds)

This has to be the funniest Royal Rumble elimination of all time. In the 2009 Royal Rumble, Santino Marella came running into the ring with all the aggression that he could muster.

Sadly, Kane, who later went on to break a record of most eliminations in a single Royal Rumble match that day, was waiting for him and he eliminated Santino Marella right as he entered into the ring. The red demon did not even let the poor man’s intro music end dude!
