Why USA And West Indies Are Hosting T20 World Cup 2024? Explained. The schedule for the ninth ICC Mеn’s T20 World Cup has been announced. It’ll be co-hosted by the West Indies and the USA from June 1 to June 29, 2024. Twenty teams will compete across 55 matches to win the ICC Mеn’s T20 World Cup 2024. The teams include co-hosts West Indies and the USA and along with Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, England, India, Ireland, Namibia, Nepal and the Netherlands, Newzealand, Oman, Pakistan, Scotland, South Africa Sri Lanka and Papua New Guinea (PNG) and Uganda.
ICC T20 World Cup 2024- Groups & Teams
Teams are divided into four groups. Thе top two teams from each group will advance to thе Super Eights Stage :
- Group A: India, Pakistan, Canada, USA and Ireland
- Group B: England, Namibia, Australia, Scotland and Oman
- Group C: New Zealand, Afghanistan, West Indies, Uganda and Papua New Guinea
- Group D: South Africa, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the Netherlands and Nepal

The tournament kicks off with the hosts playing their first matches. The USA competes with Canada on June 1 and the West Indies plays Papua New Guinea on June 2. India and Pakistan will compete in New York on June 9. England starts its title defense on June 4 against Scotland. Pakistan plays the USA on June 6. Fans can also look forward to Sri Lanka vs South Africa in New York on June 3 and England vs Australia in Barbados on June 8. The West Indies are scheduled to compete with New Zealand on June 12th.
