Titans made significant changes, appointing Shubman Gill as captain after Hardik Pandya’s trade to Mumbai Indians. Their most substantial investment, amounting to Rs. 10 crore, went into Australian left-arm pacer Spencer Johnson. Additionally, they secured Afghanistan pace-bowling all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai, potentially filling the void left by Pandya.
The Ahmedabad-based team strengthened its batting lineup by acquiring middle-order batter Shahrukh Khan for Rs. 7.40 crore. The addition of young Indian pacer Kartik Tyagi at just Rs. 60 lakh and the experienced Umesh Yadav for Rs. 5.80 crore further enhances the team’s pace unit.
With the conclusion of this year’s IPL Auction, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have outlined their squad for the IPL 2024. Featuring four Indian players and two foreign players, LSG has utilized all 25 available slots, including a total of eight overseas players. Lucknow Super Giants made a significant investment in Indian pacer Shivam Mavi, securing him for Rs. 6.40 crore. They also added English international David Willey to their squad.
The LSG team was formidable even before the auction, and the management appears to have focused on strategic reinforcements for IPL 2024.
