India vs England Test Series 2024: Full Schedule, Venues, Squads And Head-To-Head Records. England test cricket team under the captaincy of Ben Stokes will travel to India for 5 match test series. India and England will face each other in a 5-match test series from 25 January to 11 March 2024. 1st Test will be played from 25 January at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

The last time England toured India was in 2021. England lost the test series by 3-1. They won the first Test but lost the next 3 by heavy margins by 317 runs, 10 wickets, and an innings and 25 runs respectively.

India faced a humiliating defeat in the 1st test against South Africa, but the Rohit Sharma-led team bounced back and beat the Proteas for the first in Cape Town. The India vs South Africa two-match test series ended drawn. Rohit Sharma became the first Asian captain to win a test match at Cape Town. Team India is expected to dominate England in the forthcoming Test series due to home advantage.

The English team has drawn the 5-match test series (Ashes 2023) against Australia at home. Since Brendon McCullum took over as head coach of the England test team in 2022 they are yet to lose a Test series at home or away, winning four and drawing three.

The upcoming test series will be a part of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25. Currently, India is in 2nd position with 2 wins 1 loss, and 1 draw while the English team are in 8th position with 2 wins 2 losses, and 1 draw in the WTC Points Table 2023-25.

Ben Stokes will captain the 16-man test squad, recently announced that he will not be available for IPL 2024 to manage his workload and fitness. BCCI is yet to announce India’s squad.
