Asia Cup 2023: Akash Chopra Snubbed As ACC Announces Commentators List For The Tournament. The 16th edition of the Asia Cup is scheduled to play from 30 Aug to 17 Sep in the 50-over format. It will be the very first time that the tournament will feature in a hybrid model as team India was denied travel to Pakistan.

Six teams (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanaka, Afghanistan and Nepal) will play a total of 13 games in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Pakistan will host 4 matches and they are hosting the tournament after 15 years. Pakistan team will face Nepal in the opening match of the Asia Cup at Multan. The tournament final will be played at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on 17 September from 3.00 PM (IST)

The Asia Cup 2023 is just around the corner, and now the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) on Saturday announced the commentator list for the tournament. 12 former cricketers from 5 countries will be part of the line-up. Surprisingly, former India opener and star Hindi commentator Aakash Chopra, who often grabs the headlines with his witty remarks, has been excluded from the commentator’s panel.

His exclusion from the list is very surprising. Chopra not only has a huge reach on social media but over the last few years, he has been one of the key members of the commentators.
