IPL 2023 Mini Auction: Delhi Capitals (DC) Retained And Released Players List. The Delhi Capitals have no doubt been the most formidable side throughout the last few editions. Under their head coach Ricky Ponting the side has an improved strategy toward the game.

Though the DC carry a long legacy in the Indian Premier League their previous successful edition was under their local boy Gautam Gambhir captaining the side alongside his Indian national side colleague Virender Sehwag in the side.

With not-very-convincing performances over the last many editions despite multiple big names in their squad, the Delhi Capitals came back strongly in 2019 with young rising talents of Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant, Kagiso Rabada, and many more in their power-packed squad.

Delhi Capitals prevailed to be a strong squad after rebuilding the side in the mega auction. Though they parted ways with Dhawan, Iyer, and Rabada, they made some good additions with David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Rowman Powell, and Kuldeep Yadav already having retained players like skipper Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw, and pacer Anrich Nortje.

Though some great bits of performances from the Delhi Capitals, they were ruled out of the playoff run in the last edition of IPL in the absence of Warner and Marsh. With many giants already a part of their squad Delhi Capitals do not need many inclusions to their side, let’s take a quick look at the players retained before the IPL 2023 mini-auction.

IPL 2023 Mini Auction Details

Following last year’s Mega auction and all teams set and geared up for more than just one edition, this year there will be a mini-auction with an additional 5 crores to each teams purse, with last year’s unsold players and the players released by their respective franchises to be held on the 23rd of December, 2022 in Kochi.

Approximately 650+ players are gearing up to go under the hammer and with many recent big bids just last year we do not expect a very happening auction this year.
