Indian Premier League remaining matches will take place during September – October in the UAE. After the confirmation from BCCI regarding the conduct of remaining IPL matches in UAE, there was a lot of news circulating that increased the tension for BCCI to conduct IPL 2021 part 2 with foreign players.
Few cricket boards, such as England, Bangladesh, etc, have told their players not to play the remaining matches of IPL 2021 to prepare for ICC T20 cricket world cup 2021. With such uncertainty regarding many foreign players missing, BCCI has made the Cricket West indies board agree to their demands.
BCCI Makes CWI Agree To Their Demand
BCCI requested the Cricket West Indies board (CWI) to prepone the proposed CPL by few days to participate in IPL part 2 from starting games itself. CWI has finally agreed to this proposal from BCCI. Sportsganga has learned that the CPL will now be held from August 25th– September 15th.
This is done so that the West Indies players can join the IPL bubble without any delay. It is to be noted that BCCI has proposed to conduct the remaining matches of IPL 2021 in the UAE from September 18 or 19th.
According to reports, the mutual agreement was made when Jay Shah discussed with CPL COO Pete Russell. With this confirmation, it is now certain that IPL part 2 will see the West Indies players in action for the entire duration of IPL 2021 part 2 in the UAE.
