The Sri Lankan bowlers dismissed Bangladesh for 318 runs in the final innings on Wednesday, April 3. Bangladesh batters performed exceptionally well with the bat, but they fell short of the 511-run target. Sri Lanka won the first test by 328 runs.

Sri Lanka was pointless in the World Test Championship 2023-25 Cycle when they arrived in Bangladesh for the 2-match series. With 24 points from 2 Test matches, they now have 50 points.
Bangladesh’s PCT dropped from 33.33 to 25. They are now at par with 7th-placed South Africa, and ahead of only England (17.5 from 10 Test matches).
