IND vs IRE 1st T20: Bumrah Registered Comeback With 2 Wickets In An Over, India Beat Ireland By 2 Runs Via DLS. Jasprit Bumrah made a strong comeback to international cricket. While the first ball he bowled yielded a four, the second yielded a wicket. He then took another wicket from the fifth and also got the award of Man of the Match. Bumrah was out of the Indian team for over a year due to a back injury, which caused him to miss many important tournaments, including the T20 World Cup 2024 and the WTC final 2023.

Jasprit Bumrah is currently captaining India’s second-string team in a three-match series against Ireland. The team also included Tilak Varma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rinku Singh, and Prasidh Krishna in addition to Ruturaj Gaikwad, the vice-captain. This series will be crucial for Bumrah and Prasidh since they will need to show full fitness ahead of the Asia Cup 2023.

The series Kicked off on 18 August and the next two matches will be played in the same location on the 20th and 23rd of August. In the first match, India easily won by 2 runs (DLS). This match in the series is also important for all other players as their growth is closely examined for the upcoming World Cup.

India won the toss and called the host to bat first. Ireland did not have a good start lost their first two wickets too early. Jasprit Bumrah Indian Captain took two wickets in the first over and gave Ireland little chance to recover. After that, Prisdh Krishna also grabbed two wickets and at one stage Ireland was 59/6. However, following the sixth wicket, Irish all-rounder Barry McCarthy put on a one-man show and struck a fifty. Ireland managed to score 139 runs in 20 overs thanks to his fifty.

Chasing the score of 140 India had a great start with openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad scoring in good speed. However, both of them got out on the 6th over in 2 back to back balls. However, soon after this wicket match got interrupted by the rain and seeing the condition of rain India was declared winner by Duckworth Lewis method as India was ahead of 2 runs by this method.
