Asia Cup 2023 IND vs PAK: Rain Played a Spoil-Sport, Pakistan Qualify For Super 4s. It’s the royal battle, the collision of arch-rivals, and the cricketing world has been waiting for it with bated breath. India and Pakistan met each other in the 3rd match of Asia Cup 2023. Fans had been anticipating this match for eons, but they were disappointed due to the rain, and the match ended up being a no-show.

Rain played the villain in this fight of giants, allowing only one inning of play before the game was called off. Rain was forecast after the Weather Department indicated that the venue was in the path of a tornado. Although Rain was playing hide and seek in the first inning and letting it end, but never stopped after the first inning ended, and the game was called off. However, Pakistan ended up on the positive side and qualified for the Super 4.

India vs. Pakistan Match Summary

India Opted for batting after winning the toss, Captain Sharma and Gill came for the opening, but soon after hitting some shots, Shaheen Afridi came as a nightmare for the Indian top order, and India lost the first five wickets within 100 runs. When the Indians fans were switching on the TVs, Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya built a wall against the world’s biggest bowling lineup.

Together, they built a partnership of 138 runs, scoring 82 and 87, respectively. Though soon after they got out, India also fell, and the Men in Blue ended up scoring a respectable total of 266 runs.

Rain returned shortly after the first inning ended and lasted until the game was called off. India will now meet Nepal in a knockout match in the 5th Match Asia Cup 2023, as Nepal lost their first match against Pakistan and India had a no-result match. This draw also handed Pakistan a thumbs-up for Super 4. If India qualifies for the Super 4 round, these two arch-rivals will clash again on September 10th.
