IND vs PAK Super 4s Asia Cup 2023: ACC Is Under Heavy Criticism For Rain Interrupted Matches: The third match of the Asia Cup 2023 Super 4s between India vs Pakistan has been rescheduled for a reserve day. Rain was a big danger in the Asia Cup Super Four matches. Though the the match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka was completed, rain impacted the play today and did not stop, forcing the match to be rescheduled for the following day.

Before the rain came, the match began regularly, with the bright sun over the horizon. Pakistan won the toss and invited India to bat first. Unlike in the previous encounter, India’s opener rushed on Pakistan’s pace attack. Shubman Gill took over and began pounding Shaheen, while Rohit Sharma battled against Naseem but then destroyed Sahadab Khan. They formed a 121-run partnership.

As the Indians maintained their strong partnership, Babar handed the ball to Shadab Khan again, but the outcome was different this time. Rohit attempted to play Shadab on covers but was caught on the mid-off. In the following over, Shaheen threw a slow ball, and Shubman got caught within the 30-yard circle. When the game was called off, India was 147-2 after 24 overs. Hopefully, the rain will cease tomorrow and the game will resume.

ACC is facing heavy criticism for keeping matches in a Rain area.

ACC is currently under fire for continuing the game on wet days. Cricket is one of the most popular forms of entertainment in the subcontinent. Therefore, people constantly attempt to attend matches, especially when they are part of a large tournament. Because of their rivalry and high-tension contests, India vs. Pakistan boasts the largest fan base in cricket history.

Fans who have been waiting for IND vs. PAK ODI matches for four years have been let down by the ACC’s inept administration. While the league match between India and Pakistan was wiped out after one inning, this Super Four match is similarly in danger of being washed out.

Pakistan was the initial host of the Asia Cup; however, owing to BCCI denial, the ACC implemented a hybrid format in which Sri Lanka will share the hosting with Pakistan. Despite understanding the weather conditions in Sri Lanka, the ACC decided to keep the match in the coastal region. Not only that but despite the earlier warning of severe rain, ACC did not bother to alter the location of the Super 4 matches.

After rain disrupted league matches, rumors emerged that the Super 4 matches slated for Colombo would be moved to Hambantota. Because this place was expected to have sunny weather in the country. However, two days before the Super Four matches, the ACC confirmed that the matches would be held in Colombo.

According to sources, PCB and SLC also favored the venue change, but ACC ultimately chose Colombo. With its ego-driven decisions, ACC is now facing harsh criticism from supporters. However, due to the importance of the India vs. Pakistan match, the ACC has set aside a reserve day for this match as well as a reserve day for the Tournament Final.
