Because of this situation, the full IPL schedule has not been finalised yet. The Election Commission of India is still finalising polling dates.

The date was special because the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Final 2026 was also scheduled that day. However, reports suggest the fixtures will now be announced on March 9. The announcement may happen at 4 PM IST or 6 PM IST.
