KL Rahul Seeks India A Inclusion Before England Test Series. Trying to sharpen his skills, Indian batsman KL Rahul has written to the BCCI to include him in the India A squad for the second unofficial Test against the England Lions. Rahul is starting the practice because there are not many places in India where players can practice their fielding, as the weather in Mumbai and Bengaluru is not always favorable. He is eager to adapt to English conditions and utilize the extra match practice in preparation for the series starting June 20 in Leeds.

With Gill and Sai being involved in the IPL playoffs, it is doubtful whether too many players will ultimately be available for these matches. Rahul, meanwhile, is free since his Delhi Capitals crashed from the playoffs and is eager to play.

Rahul is preparing to move forward as the senior Test player, especially with the retirements of the senior-most Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, whose experience will be critical when India undertakes this challenging tour under new captain Shubman Gill.
