Siraj showed his career’s best ODI bowling in the recently concluded Asia Cup 2023 final against Sri Lanka.
This is the second time Md Siraj has been at the numero uno position, having previously held the no 1 bowler between January to March 2023 before being dethroned by Josh Hazlewood. Asia Cup 2023 man of the series Kuldeep Yadav is at 9th position the latest rankings.
Md Siraj gained 57 points and moved from No. 9 to No. 1 in the ICC ODI bowling rankings after his 6-wicket haul in the Asia Cup 2023 final. He is also part of India’s squad for ODI World Cup 2023.
Mohammed Siraj finished with 10 wickets at an average of 12.2 in the Asia Cup 2023. This helped him jump eight spots in the latest ICC bowling rankings and overtake other players like Hazlewood, Trent Boult, Rashid Khan, and Mitchell Starc.

Siraj took 6 wickets in just 7 overs and demolished the Sri Lankan batting order in the Asia Cup summit clash at Colombo on September 17. India won the record 8th Asia Cup title.
