ODI World Cup 2023: Narendra Modi Stadium Stats, Records, And Matches Schedule: The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 schedule has been released, and the main tournament will start on October 5. The tournament’s opening game between England and New Zealand, the winners of the previous edition, will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium, as will the championship game on November 19. 

According to the schedule announced by ICC on June 27, the largest and most anticipated match between India and Pakistan will also take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14. In their most recent World Cup clash, India beat Pakistan in a high scoring match in Manchester.

Following India vs. Pakistan, this venue will host a match between arch-rivals England and Australia on November 4. If India advances to the semi-finals, the game will be played at the Wankhede Stadium, according to the schedule. However, if India and Pakistan meet, the semi-finals would be held in Eden Gardens for security concerns.

Ahmedabad has the largest stadium in all of the World Cup 2023 locations, with a capacity of over 100,000 spectators. Not only will the stadium host Arch Rivals matches, but it will also host the World Cup 2023 Final on November 19th, 2023.

Narendra Modi Stadium Stats and Records

This is a newly renovated stadium that hosted few number of World Cup matches in 1987, 1996 and 2011 before going for renovation. Earlier it was known as Sardar Patel, Montera Stadium. Its renovation was completed in February 2020 at a cost of over 800 crore. The Narendra Modi stadium currently has a seating capacity of 1,32,000 people.
