IPL 2026: Kohli Century Helps RCB Beat KKR In Raipur. Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by six wickets in a high-scoring IPL 2026 clash. The match was played in Raipur on May 13 and finished after midnight in India. RCB chased 193 in 19.1 overs and moved to the top of the points table.
Virat Kohli was the star of the night with an unbeaten 105 from 60 balls. His innings helped RCB reach 194/4 with five balls remaining. Kohli controlled the chase with smart strike rotation and timely boundaries. His calm finish proved decisive in a tense run chase.

KKR Build Strong Total After Early Blows
Earlier, RCB won the toss and decided to bowl first. KKR suffered an early setback when Bhuvi took Finn Allen’s wicket. Ajinkya Rahane also departed inside the powerplay, putting KKR under early pressure. However, Angkrish Raghuvanshi rebuilt the innings with a composed knock.
Raghuvanshi scored 71 from 46 balls and gave KKR a strong platform. Cameron Green also played an important hand, scoring 32 from 24 balls. Rinku Singh provided late acceleration and helped KKR reach a competitive total. KKR finished their innings at 192/4 after 20 overs.
Kohli Takes Control Of The Chase
RCB began their chase with intent, led by Kohli’s controlled aggression. Jacob Bethell made 15 before KKR found their first breakthrough. Devdutt Padikkal then supported Kohli with a useful 39-run contribution. Their partnership kept RCB ahead of the required run rate.
KKR tried to fight back through Kartik Tyagi’s impressive spell. Tyagi picked up three wickets and briefly raised KKR’s hopes. However, Kohli stayed calm and continued to dominate the chase. He attacked loose deliveries and handled pressure moments with experience.
The match also produced several important records for RCB and Kohli. Kohli crossed 1,000 IPL runs against the Kolkata Knight Riders during the match. He joined Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma in that elite list. Kohli also recorded his 12th IPL season with 400 or more runs.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar also achieved a major milestone during KKR’s innings. He matched Yuzvendra Chahal’s record for most IPL wickets against KKR. His early wicket of Allen gave RCB a strong start with the ball.
