IPL 2024: Delhi Capitals (DC) Can Release 5 Players Before Auction. Delhi Capitals have never won the IPL championship despite having notable players on their line-up in the past. David Warner-led DC finished ninth place on the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 points table. Delhi Capitals were only able to win five games without Rishabh Pant, and they endured nine losses, including five straight losses in their first five games.

However, before the 2024 season of the Indian Premier League, Ricky Ponting and the rest of the club management may have to make some difficult decisions. They will release some players before IPL 2024 auction.

Mustafizur Rahman:

Mustafizur, a left-arm fast bowler from Bangladesh, picked up one wicket in two games this season for the Capitals with an economy rate of 11.29. Due to Bangladesh’s series against Ireland, he was unable to participate in few games. Perhaps Mustafizur Rahman will be let go.

In the 48 games he has played so far in the IPL, Mustafizur Rahman has taken 47 wickets at an average of 30.72, giving up around 7.93 runs per over, and his best individual score is 3/16.

Mustafizur Rahman was hired by the Delhi franchise in the IPL Auction 2023 for Rs 2.00 Cr.

Ripal Patel :

In the five games Ripal Patel played, he never had an impact. Ripal only scored 49 runs at a 114 percent strike rate. We might have already witnessed the end of Ripal in DC colors, and DC needs a better player in the bottom middle order. DC is unlikely to renew his contract with them.

Ripal Patel has participated in nine IPL games thus far, scoring 80 runs at an average of 16.00. With 23 runs as his highest IPL total. In his IPL career, Ripal Patel has hit 6 fours and 2 sixes.

For Rs 20.00 Lac, the Delhi franchise purchased Ripal Patel’s services during the IPL 2023 Auction.

David Warner :

David Warner, the team’s captain in IPL 2023, finished with a total of 516 runs from 14 games, however despite that, the Delhi Capitals are quite likely to discharge him owing to his lackluster leadership in the IPL 2023. About his strike rate in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, David Warner has received a lot of criticism.

In the IPL Auction 2023, the Delhi franchise paid Rs 6.25 Cr for David Warner.

Manish Pandey :

Manish Pandey, a batsman for the Delhi Capitals, has struggled in the IPL 2023. In his ten IPL 2023 games, he only managed to score 160 runs. His standard deviation is 17.78. Manish Pandey is in terrible form right now. He has been given many chances, but he failed to deliver.

To date in his IPL career, Manish Pandey has participated in 170 games and amassed 3808 runs at an average of 29.07. In addition, he has scored 1 century and 22 half-centuries, with 114* runs being his greatest IPL total.

Manish Pandey, a seasoned batter for the Delhi Capitals who was purchased by DC for INR 2.4 crore at the IPL 2023 auction.

Prithvi Shaw :

Shaw was handed six straight games to open the tournament, but he was unable to surpass the 15-run threshold. His disastrous start led to his dismissal. Shaw was nowhere near runs this season, save from one half-century. He was a massive letdown as an opener, scoring just 106 runs.

To date in his IPL career, Prithvi Shaw has played 71 games and amassed 1694 runs at an average of 23.86.

For Rs. 8.00 Cr. in the IPL Auction 2023, the Delhi franchise purchased Prithvi Shaw’s services.
